Members stayed busy attending multiple events, trainings, and responding to calls this weekend. Saturday morning started with members responding to an EMS call where the patient was transported by MSP Trooper 3. RE4 responded with P45 while E41 was committed on another call. E41 responded after clearing, as did WS42 to handle the landing zone, before being placed in service.
Members attended the Touch a Truck at Lisbon PreK followed by the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Food Lion. E41, A46, B47, and U4B were on display.
Both Saturday and Sunday members attended a Rural Water Supply Class hosted by Winfield VFD and Got Big Water LLC. A total of 5 members participated along with B shift. The class focused on all aspects of rural water supply, and gave members a chance to train on the new Tanker 4. Crews took TNK4 and WS42 both days, and RE4 on Saturday.
The station handled a total of 15 calls over the weekend including medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, and a reported barn fire in Frederick county. We would like to thank HCDFRS E101 for covering our station Saturday to allow our B shift career staff to attend the water supply training, and Winfield for inviting us to participate.
