Just after 12:30 pm on Sunday February 23rd, units from Lisbon were alerted to assist on a large brush fire near the intersection of Wood Park Lane and Murray Hill Rd in Columbia (Station 10’s Area). First arriving units found fire in the wooded area that was estimated to be at least 2 acres in size. B47 and B48 responded and joined HCDFRS units from Rivers Park (10), Scaggsville (11), Elkridge (1), Savage (6), Clarksville (5), Ellicott City (2/8), Banneker (7), West Friendship (3), and Glenwood (13), along with units from Montgomery County. Lisbon’s units operated on scene for almost two and a half hours, first due units were on scene for over three and a half hours. The Office of the Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.

While assisting on the brush fire, an engine crew remained in the station along with P45 to ensure coverage in the west end of the county. P45 and RE4 responded to a medical emergency during this time.
