At just before 1:00am on Monday 12/3/18 units from Lisbon and Mt. Airy were alerted for a single vehicle accident on I-70 in the area of West Watersville Rd. RE4 and P45 responded along with Mt. Airy units and arrived to find the vehicle off the roadway into a tree with the driver trapped inside. The assignment was upgraded bringing command staff from HCDFRS and an additional engine. The crews from RE4 and Rescue 1 from Mt. Airy worked to extricate the driver by removing the roof of the vehicle. Fire department units operated on scene for approximately 45 minutes before turning the scene over to the Maryland State Police. Photo Credit: MAVFC
