Members of the Lisbon VFC spent this past week testing hose. The National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) mandates that fire hose be tested every year. We are checking for areas of weakness and potential failure such as the hose pulling away from couplings, pinholes or rips. This testing helps ensure the integrity of the hose and the safety of our firefighters who use it.
